patrick was my papa one of the best men i've ever known,it was an privilage to have spent 12 wonderful years in his presance, and i mean that he had a huge heart and i miss him more than life itself,he had 1 daughter my mother margaret with his first wife pearl who sadly passed away in 51 or 52 of tuberculosis,he remarried a lady called sussanne whom i always knew as my gran and miss too.He worked on the shipyards in greenock a hard job and suffered a bad accident which caused him to end up with one leg shorter than the other it was years before i noticed.I have such fond memorys of every christmas of him and my gran hideing behind our sofa and my mum saying he and gran could not make it and then the two of them jumping up and shouting suprise even when it was really not a suprise for me anymore but i suppose it was for my brothers scott and kenneth, memorys of running up the driveway and him picking me up and spinning me around even when he was ill and i was too big for it and of playing the monster in the closet game,of him taking us to the working mans club for the christmas partys and of him teaching me darts. He was a very respectful man i never heard him swear and if he could hear me now i may be 29 but he would more than likely threatin to wash my mouth out.He liked a wee flutter and a drink and smoke but was religeous and would attend mass every week.I miss him and i wish we could have him back, god bless you papa i love youxxxx I would also like to add a bit about my two gran's,, my papas first wife was called pearl ( nee sinclair ) she was my mum's mum. She had tuberculosis and sadly passed away when my mum was only three years of age. My mum looks so much like her and i look like my mum and i'm happy becuse they are two very lovley women. I wish i had had a chance to meet her and i don't really know much about her but she must have been very brave to battle an illness such as TB for so long. My papa remarried to a women i always see as a gran and a great one at that susanna ( nee curren ) she passed away suddenly after being rushed in for a oparition which was succseful but then due to complications she left us,, i went up to the hospital with my mum i think i was only 14 and it was sad but i was very glad i was close to her when she passed,,, i miss you and love you god bless xxx

I know you're at peace which makes me happy because i so hated seeing the pain you suffered. God took a great man when he took you Papa and i wish you had been here longer. Light a candle

Light a candle
See it glow
Watch it dance
When you feel low
Think of me
Think of the light
I'll always be here

I remember your Granda well as I too stayed in Devon n Road, he was always playing jokes on the kids who lived there. Your Gran (Susie)was pestered by me as, like her I loved cats and she had litters of kittens now and then that I wanted to see. I never gave her peace always knocking the door asking to see them. She always obliged. It's not until you're older you realise how annoying it must have been. They were very gracious.

used to visit uncle pat when they lived in boundry st .He would walk us to the bus stop to go home.I had a coat with a belt round the waist and as we passed the co-op he always hung me on to the gate It would take a strong belt to hang me up now. rest in peace
